Description

Insulated FRP/GRP step stool and work platform for standing work near live equipment in substations, switch rooms, distribution rooms, high-voltage laboratories and transformer bays. The FRP platform isolates the operator from ground potential. Fibreglass construction: durable and long lasting, with stable performance over time. Weatherproof: an outdoor-grade UV coating, corrosion-resistant resin formulation and a non-absorbent surface. Leave them in a substation yard through sun, rain and dust and they remain safe and serviceable. Thermal insulation: the platform limits heat transfer as well as providing electrical insulation. Multiple heights: single, double, three and four-layer configurations give a stable working height for different tasks. Heavy-duty structure: supports up to 300 kg, for reliable use in the power industry. Made for electricians: a practical, professional design that fits live working at height and high-voltage tasks. Anti-slip platform: a ribbed platform surface for secure footing. Easy to move: a portable D-shaped handle, plus removable castors on the larger sizes. Maintenance: wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners or a pressure washer. Inspect before each use for cracks, chips or delamination, and stop using the stool immediately if any surface damage is found. Sizes: single layer 40 x 40 x 20 cm; double layer 30 x 50 x 80 / 100 / 120 cm. Sizes can be mixed in one order to reach the minimum quantity.

Production & Quality

Produced and assembled on site

FRP platforms, frames and treads are produced on our own lines and assembled here, so height, ribbing and finish are all controlled before the unit is packed and released.

Process — how it is made

  • Platform, frame and treads produced from fiberglass-reinforced plastic on our own lines; single, double, three and four-layer configurations are built to one design.
  • Parts cut, drilled and assembled here, so a mixed order of heights runs on the same fittings.
  • Ribbed anti-slip platform surface, so footing stays secure in wet or dusty substation conditions.
  • UV-resistant outdoor coating and corrosion-resistant resin formulation, so the unit needs no painting or rust-proofing in service.
  • D-shaped handle fitted as standard, with removable casters on the larger sizes.

Inspection — how it is checked

  • Load rating up to 300 kg: the finished unit is checked for stability, rib depth and fixing tightness before it is released.
  • Surface inspection for cracks, chips and delamination — the same three faults we ask users to check before each use.
  • Coating check for coverage and uniformity across the platform and the frame.
  • Anti-slip check on the ribbed platform surface of the assembled unit.
  • Final check and packing at 32 x 52 x 122 cm, 14.5 kg gross.
